ANDE™, Fast DNA identification ”is the fully automated analysis of a forensic sample, performed by a non-technical operator outside the laboratory and with a DNA identification (DNA ID) obtained in less than two hours.
Fast DNA is based on the Short Tandem Repeat Analysis (STR), the same high-precision chemistry performed in laboratories which serves as the basis for all the world’s large DNA databases. DNA identifications are widely accepted as the gold standard for human identification. DNA is much more accurate than other biometrics and remain unchanged from birth to death. In addition, DNA IDs can prove paternity and be used in family searches to identify a person, even if their DNA ID is not found in international databases. ANDE DNA Fast changes the paradigm of the old laboratory model that requires expensive equipment, highly trained personnel and extensive maintenance to a unique, fully automated and low maintenance Fast DNA system, capable of processing DNA at any time and place.
